Boat Rental FAQ

 

  • Our rental day is from 9am to 5pm.

  • There are three ways to reserve a rental boat:
    1. Fill out our online inquiry form and we will respond with availability
    2. Email us at rentals@saranaclakemarina.com with the dates and type of boat you would like to reserve.
    3. Call us at (518) 891-9999 with the dates and type of boat you would like to reserve.

  • Pontoon boat operators must be 27 years old and possess a valid Driver’s License.

    All Other Boats: Operators must be 26 and follow NYS boater regulations (see Licensing & NY Boater Cards on our rental policies page).

  • If there is damage to the propeller or any other part of the boat when it is returned, you will either be charged for it or you will not be refunded your security deposit.

  • NO CHARGE: Cancel up to 7 days prior to start of rental date.

    50% CHARGE: Cancel within 7 days of rental start date.

    FULL RENTAL CHARGE: Cancel the day of the start date.

  • All boats must be returned by 5pm, boats returned after 5pm will be charged hourly based on the rates below.

    Pontoon Boats: $250 per hour

    Other Motorboats: $100 per hour

    Canoes & Kayaks: $15 per hour

  • Yes, if it is available.

  • Yes, but they are not allowed on the seats of the pontoon boats.

  • Yes, we have specific pontoon boats designed for camping. You can camp with the other smaller fishing boats as well.

  • We send you out with a full tank of gas and when you return you will be charged for how much gas you’ve used.

  • You are able to boat from Lower Saranac Lake to Middle Saranac Lake. It is not possible to navigate to Upper Saranac Lake. Our sister marina has boat rentals available for Upper Saranac Lake.
